Jamiat Ulama-Hind constituted a five member's committ for making assessment of mosques under Archeological survey of India (ASI). Closing of any mosque under ASI illegal- Maulana Mahmood Madani The committee to visit a closed mosque by ASI on daily basis and file its report as well.

New Delhi, 24-5-2015( Inquilab):- Maulana Mahmood Madani, General Secretary of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind while expressing concern over closed mosques under ASI in Delhi and other states said that enforcing ban over offering of prayer in them is illegal and against the tenets of Islam. According to the constitution of India, the ASI has been authorized to preserve and protect the historical mosques only. It has not been authorized for enforcing ban on offering of prayers in them. On occasion of 32nd session of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind held at Delhi on May, 16, 2015, a resolution was adopted to constitute a five members committee for making assessment of mosques under Archeological survey of India (ASI). This committee will visit a closed mosque by ASI on daily basis and file its status report as well. The five member's committee constituted by Maulana Mahmood Madani consisted of Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi, Secretary, Maulana Niaz Ahmad Faroqui, advocate Supreme Court, Hafiz Basheer, organizer of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind, Maulana Jamal Qasmi and Maulana Yaseen Qasmi. This committee will visit a closed mosque under ASI on daily basis and file its status report as well. Maulana Mahmood Madani while talking to Inquilab newspaper said that Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind is very concern to restore prayers in the closed mosques under ASI. He also said that Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind had adopted a resolution on occasion of its 32nd session held at Delhi to protest against negligent attitude of ASI and worsening condition of historical mosques under the same. He also said that in the same session we had declared that enforcing ban on offering of prayer is highly illegal and against the tenets of Islam. Therefore this session of Jamiat reiterates that offering of prayers in these mosques is our religious rights. He further said that since the main purpose of endowing a mosque is to offer prayer to Allah almighty, therefore same could not be illegally occupied. He also said that it's highly tyrannical on the part of ASI to enforce ban on offering of prayers in these mosques. It's a blot on any civilized society to violate religious sanctity of these mosques at the pretext of preserving them. He further said that while adopting a resolution at Jamiat session we have demanded from the government of India to take proper action for restoring prayers in closed mosques under ASI. Maulana Madani has cautioned the government that if prayers are not restored in these closed mosques, he will launch legal and democratic movement for the same. He also informed that as per resolution adopted by Jamiat, the first phase of work has already begun. Accordingly our committee will visit a closed mosque by ASI on daily basis and file its status report as well. He further said that Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind will conduct survey of such closed mosques in every parts of India and will constitute committees at state and district level for the same purpose. This committee will release its report (AIMPB) every day. It is to be noted that All India Muslim personal law Board will soon present its report on closed mosques in India. No. (2) Qadimi mosque Begumpuri embellished with 64 pillars got destroyed due to negligent attitude of Archeological survey of India (ASI). An eight member's assessment committee of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind visited this mosque.

Mr. Jiwendar, a local resident told the visiting members of the committee thatt he feel scared of gamblers and drinkers present inside the same. Pillars of the mosque converted into toilets. Difficult to stay in the mosque due to stinking smell inside the same.

Qadimi Masjid Begumpuri New Delhi, 25-5-2015 (Inquilab):- An eight hundred years old Qadimi mosque Begumpuri located in Delhi is on verge of extinction due to negligent attitude of the government of India and ASI. It's unfortunate that once prayers were held over here but now the same mosque has turned into a bastion of gamblers and drinkers. The ASI which has been entrusted with the task of preserving the same seems unaware of illegal activities in the same. An eight member's delegation of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind led by Maulana Niaz Ahmad Farooqui, legal adviser of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind and Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi today visited Qadimi mosque Begumpuri for taking stock of the situation over there. After visiting the mosque, Maulana Niaz Ahmad Farooqui, legal adviser of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind and Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi informed the daily Inquilab news paper that a committee constituted at the behest of Maulana Mahmood Madani, General Secretary of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind is visiting mosques under ASI. The delegation said that this is their second visit to the mosque after visiting masjid makhdoom shah for taking stock of the situation over here. The visiting delegation cried Allaho Akbar (Allah is the greatest) while seeing the dilapidated condition of the mosque. They also said that this mosque is used by gamblers and drinkers. And that was a cause of deep anxiety for the Muslims. Maulana Niaz Ahmad Farooqui and Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi talked to Mr. Jiwendar, a local resident about illegal activities in the mosque. Mr. Jiwendar expressed his sorrow over presence of gamblers and drinkers in the mosque which had been constructed for the purpose of offering of prayers. But he expressed his helplessness to prevent them from doing so. The guard posted over there though did not reveal his name. However he assured the delegation that from 9 a.m to 5 p.m he will not allow any illegal activities in the mosque. But soon after he leaves the mosque the mosque turns into a bastion of gamblers and drinkers. The visiting members of delegation were awe struck to see the worst condition of the mosque. When members of the delegation entered the mosque through main gate, they found that toilets were built near pillars of the mosque. Stinking smell could be felt everywhere in the same. They also spotted wine bottles in ablution rooms. Local boys were playing cricket inside the same. Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi also spotted many stray dogs in the same who were permanently staying over there. But ASI remained mute spectators to all these illegal activities. He further said that it's a responsibility of the ASI to protect and maintain these mosques. But ASI remained negligent. As a result of which this mosque is getting ruined day by day. Since this mosque is filled with stinking smell, therefore it was difficult to stay even for two minutes over there. The mosque also lacks proper cleanliness and a portion of the same is under illegal occupation by local residents. The delegation will soon submit its report to Maulana Mahmood Madani, General Secretary of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind to chalk out future action plan.

Jamiat continues struggle for restoring prayers inside the closed mosques. Offering of prayer in Masjide Durvesh Shah illegal

Spat took place between Jamiat delegation and welfare Association of Hauz Khaz apartment. Call made on 100 for police intervention.DDA has locked the mosque despite permission for offering prayers-Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi.

Masjid Durvesh ShahNew Delhi, 28-5-2015, (Inquilab) Mumtaz Alam Rizwi: - A mosque is solely built for the purpose of offering prayers. Any activity except offering of prayer is forbidden in the mosque. But communally minded members of Welfare Association of Hauz Khaz apartment have been claiming that offering of prayer in mosque Durvesh Shah is illegal. Leave a side offering of prayer, the guard posted over here has been instructed not to allow any kurta clad bearded man to enter inside the mosque. When an eight member's delegation of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind visited mosque Durvesh Shah they found that ASI and DDA has colluded with each other to keep the mosque closed. Legally it is allowed to offer prayer over here, but DDA has locked this mosque at the pretext of repairing the same. Therefore Muslims have been became deprived of offering prayers in the same. It is to be noted that this mosque is also known as Qunati masjide located at Gulmohar Park, Hauz Khas. The condition of this mosque is in very bad shape. This ASI and DDA remained negligent to it. The members of Jamiat delegation consisited of Maulana Niaz Ahmad Farooqui, Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi, Maulana Ghayur Ahmad Qasmi, Maulana Haroon Rashid Qasmi, Maulana Mohammad Yaseen Ahmad Qasmi, Hafiz Bashir, Mohammad Arif, Qari Yaseen etc. Beside these persons, wakf board appointed imam of this mosque Qari Sharif too joined the delegation. Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi after visiting the mosque informed Inquilab, a daily newspaper that its highly unfortunate that ban has been imposed for offering of prayer here. Until now they were thinking that ASI has locked this mosque. But not only ASI but DDA too has colluded with communally minded persons for locking the mosque. He said that Mr. Sonu who has been appointed as the guard by the ASI has not only misbehaved with visiting Jamiat delegation but did not allow them to stand in the mosque. Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi said to the guard that since they have been coming here under scorching heat of the sun, therefore he should allow them to take shelter in the mosque for a while. But he did not agree for it. He further said that DDA has locked this mosque not the ASI. He also said that the members of Welfare Association of Hauz Khaz apartment sided with the guard and created ruckus over there. A lady over there said to them that since offering of prayer is forbidden here, therefore they should offer prayers in the park. She also dialed 100 to call in police. Maulana Niaz Ahmad Farooqui intervened to sort out quarrel between the lady and visiting members of the delegation. Maulana Qasmi informed that wakf board appointed imam of this mosque, Qari Sharif passed them certain important information about the same. He informed them that any person who wishes to perform prayer here is chased away by the guard. Offering of prayer was allowed in the same after Mr. Wajahat Habibullah, Chairman Minority Commission of India made intervention about it. But after some time DDA locked it at the pretext of repairing the same. It seems that mosque was relocked under the pressure of local residents. There is pressing need of a mosque in the area because there exist not any mosque in nearby areas like Khelgaon, Gulmohar park, Gautamnagar, Gajarderi and Usuf Sarai etc. where Muslims could offer prayers. With the advent of the holy month of ramadhan Muslims of that area would very much appreciate the opening up of the mosque for offering of prayers.

Jamiat continues struggle for restoring prayers inside the closed mosques. Why ban over offering of prayer despite court order. The Archeological survey of India (ASI) committed contempt of court by not obeying the decision of Sub-judge for allowing prayer in the masjide moth. The responsibility lies upon the government of India and ASI for ongoing anti-Islamic and illegal activities in the mosque.

Masjid MothNew Delhi, 1-6-2015 (Press release):- An eight member's delegation constituted at the behest of Maulana Mahmood Madani, General Secretary of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind today visited Masjide Moth located at South extension part two. Here this mosque is located right from the time of Sikandar Lodhi. This area is named moth village because an ancient mosque Moth is built here. This mosque too like other ancient mosques has been locked up by the ASI at the pretext of protecting the same and for preventing Muslims from offering of prayers over there. But every kind of illegal activities are taking place inside the mosque in the garb of protecting the same. A delegation of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind consisting of Maulana Niaz Ahmad Farooqui, Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi, Maulana Ghayur Ahmad Qasmi, Maulana Haroon Rashid Qasmi, Maulana Mohammad Yaseen Ahmad Qasmi, Hafiz Bashir, Noor Alam etc. reached over there at 5 p.m. When delegation arrived there, they found that the mosque was locked up from outside. The local residents informed them that entering this mosque after 5 p.m is banned. When they were returning back from there a member of delegation heard a voice from inside the mosque. Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi asked one of his colleagues to have a look inside the mosque from a heightened place. From a heightened place, his colleague saw that that the inner courtyard of the mosque was being used as a cricket ground by the local boys. A mosque is built for offering of prayer. But every kind of anti-Islamic activities was going on there. The members of delegation expressed sorrow over ongoing illegal activities in the mosque. The local residents informed them that every day local boys jump inside the mosque around 5 p.m and nobody prevent them from doing so. Maulana Niaz Ahmad Farooqui, legal adviser of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind and a member of delegation while reminding the ASI about a petition filed against the government of India by Muslim Sudhar committee on July 3, 1985 said that this is the same case wherein Mr. Bhola Dutt, first, class sub-judge has delivered a judgment against the government of India for preventing Muslims to offer prayer over here and had ruled in favor of Muslims to offer prayer inside the same. He further said that preventing prayers in the mosque is against the decision of the court. But it's happening due to vested interest of some persons or there is a well orchestrated plan to encroach religious places of the Muslims. Local persons have built their homes adjacent to the mosque and new construction work is going on there which is against the written instruction of ASI. At the back of the mosque garbage is dumped by the local residents. This scenario makes mockery of ASI that it protects and preserves the historical mosques. Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi said that Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind condemned the illegal activities in the mosque and demands from the government of India to implement decision of court for allowing prayer in the same. He also demanded posting of a Muslim guard in the mosque who could help protect religious sanctity of the same.

Archeological survey of India (ASI) remained negligent about a hundred years old mosque in the city. JamiatUlama-i-Hind's delegation visited the mosque and raised questions over the ill intentions of the Government.

New Delhi: (INN):-
A hundred years old mosque located at Kalu Sarai, Delhi has been completely converted into a housing complex. Due to negligent attitude of the Archeological survey of India (ASI), this mosque has been completely occupied by half a dozen families who have built their houses over there. These illegal occupants of the mosque claim that they have been living over there for several years. These illegal occupants also claim that this building (mosque) is not a mosque at all. Maulana Mahmood Madani, General Secretary of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind has constituted a committee to look into the issue of closed and abandoned mosques under Archeological survey of India (ASI). A delegation comprising of eight of members led by legal adviser of Jamiat, Maulana Niaz Ahmad Farooqui and Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi, Secretary of Jamiat visited the mosque at Kalu Sarai for assessing its present condition. When they reached there, they found it hard to locate it from outside there was no visible sign. They inquired from local people about the whereabouts of the mosque and gained access after passing through a narrow lane to the mosque, in very dilapidated condition where some illegal construction work was going on. Few years ago, there were no illegal structures but due to negligence of the Archeological survey of India (ASI) illegal constructions were going on inside and outside the premise of the mosque. Upon seeing dilapidated condition of the mosque the members of Jamiat delegation exclaimed with shock. It's a matter of great concern that not only half a dozen illegal occupants occupy the mosque but it has been converted into den of dangerous dogs violating its sanctity. Moreover, they were attacked by those dogs which had to be restrained by the inhabitants. Nevertheless the frightening barking continued. It has to be noted that a former Member of Parliament has constructed his house inside the mosque compound besides encouraging other peoples to follow his course. When Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi entered the mosque, he met a person named Roop Chand who lives inside the mosque. Mr. Roop Chand told him that he along with his four brothers had been living there for several years and no one had objected to them. He also told him that before him a Sikh family used to livethere whose family head was Mr. Gurucharan. The members of the delegation also witnessed that Mr. Roop Chand was running furniture business from the mosque. Although this mosque falls under (ASI) but the shape of the mosque has been changed beyond recognition and nobody cared about that. They wanted to have an inside view of the mosque, but they were prevented by Mr. Roop Chand. They inquired from the local inhabitants as to since how long illegal construction had been going on inside the mosque and the reply was, for the last three to four years. Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi said that this mosque will become non-existent if (ASI) failed to take timely action against illegal occupation. The delegation demanded from the government and ASI to remove the illegal occupants from the mosque premise and allow prayers therein. The delegation comprised of Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi, Maulana Niaz Ahmed Farooqui, Maulana Ghayur Ahmad Qasmi, Maulana Haroon Rashid, Maulana Mohamad Yaseen, Maulana Irfan, Hafiz Bashir, Haji Mohammad Arif and Haji Asad.

A Temple Constructed Illegally in Front of Qudsiya Mosque
ASI remained silent spectator to the violation of mosque sanctity. ASI case in the court against offering of five times prayers.
New Delhi: SNB: -on one hand the Archeological Survey of India (ASI) puts restriction over offering prayers (namaz) in historical mosques of Delhi, but on the other hand it allows illegal construction of temple over there. According to the rules of (ASI) no structure can be built within the hundred meters radius of protected historical monuments. But surprisingly, just in front of Qudsiya Mosque, located at Kashmiri Gate, Ring road, a Hanuman temple has been constructed and prayers are going on in full swing while ASI has lodged a case in the court against offering of prayers in this mosque. An eight members mosque assessment committee constituted by Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind visited the said mosque. After visiting the mosque they said that it was wrong to lodge a case against Muslims offering prayer there. They also said that instead, ASI should have lodged a case against the illegal construction of temple there to which they remained silent spectator. The members of delegation expressed satisfaction that Muslims have been offering prayers for five times in Qudsiya Bagh mosque as the deputy imam of this mosque informed them. They also observed restoration work by ASI was in progress. The front gate of the mosque displayed notice board that the entrance was exclusively for the mosque. The deputy Imam informed them that they had been offering prayers despite the case that has been lodged by the ASI and its officials' persistent objections. The delegation of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind surveyed the adjacent area and found that just in front of mosque, at Ring road, a Hanuman temple had been constructed. According to the rules of (ASI) no structure can be built within the hundred meters radius of protected historical monuments. Nevertheless, ASI remained mute spectator to the construction of the temple there. According to the deputy imam allexpenditure related to the mosque is born by the designated Imam. It has to be born in mind that according to the government gazette Nawab Qudsiya Begum, wife of Hakim Mohammad Shah, had endowed this mosque in 1748. Her intention behind this endowment was offering of prayers

A Delegation of JamiatUlama-i-Hind Visited Delhi's Purana Qila (Old Fort) Mosque
They also filmed activities of guards posted there raising their ire.

New Delhi, Press release: - An eight members delegation of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind led by Maulana Niaz Ahmad Farooqui, legal adviser and Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi, Secretary visited Masjide Qila Kohna situated inside Sher Mandal at Purana Qila, Delhi. The delegation found that Indian and foreign tourists were walking inside the mosque wearing shoes and slippers, violating its religious sanctity. The lady, posing as guard posted at the mosque, was found sleeping while the male guard was enjoying gutka with his peers. He was enraged at his activities being video recorded and tried to snatch away the camera. When asked about his name he said, "Go! Find out from the ASI office". Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi expressed deep sorrow at the dirty condition of the mosque and said that adequate arrangement was not made for cleaning and maintenance of the mosque. It's grave injustice that (ASI) has put a ban over offering of prayer (namaz) in the mosque. Even a Muslim tourist cannot offer prayer over there. But illegal activities of every kind are permitted inside the mosque. Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind has blamed (ASI) for ongoing anti-Islamic and illegal activities in the mosque. The guards posted there have no idea about the religious sanctity of a mosque. Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi said that Muslim guards who can maintain its religious sanctity should be posted in such mosques. He also said that since offering of prayer was the sole objective behind construction of a mosque, the illegal ban imposed on offering of prayers should be lifted immediately. The delegation consisted of Maulana Niaz Ahmed Farooqui, Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi, Maulana Ghayur Ahmad Qasmi, Maulana Haroon Rashid Qasmi, Qari Naushad, Maulana Mohammad Yaseen Ahmad Qasmi, Hafiz Bashir and Noor Alam etc.

Masjid-e-Rajuki Baayin Converted into a Bastion of Wine Drinkers
Wine drinking and gambling goes on inside the mosque. The guard posted there threatened with dire consequences if he stopped them from drinking and gambling. "Negligent attitude of the government responsible for illegal activities inside the mosque", said the guard.

New Delhi, Press release: -
Religious sanctity of Masjide Rajuki Baayin is persistently violated due to negligent attitude of the Government of India and Archeological Survey of India (ASI). Wine drinking, gambling and other illegal activities go on unchecked inside the mosque. The Government of India and Archeological Survey of India (ASI) do not take any action to prevent such illegal activities inside the mosque. An eight member delegation of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind led by Maulana Niaz Ahmed Farooqui, legal adviser, and Maulana HakimuddinQasmi, Secretary visited the mosque for assessing the condition of the mosque. Upon arrival, they were stunned to find wine drinking, gambling and other illegal activities going on freely while the guard posted there remained mute spectator. Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi, inquired from the guards, Mr. Devendar and Upender about the reason of their passivity against illegal activities inside the mosque. They replied that if they stopped them they were threatened with death. They also said that such illegal activities could only be stopped if Government of India paid adequate attention to this issue. When members of delegation asked the guards to allow them to offer prayers (namaz) they were curtly told that offering of prayer (namaz) was strictly prohibited in the mosque. Condemning the Archeological Survey of India's illegal ban upon prayers, the delegation observed that in the name of protecting ancient monuments illegal activities such as wine drinking and gambling etc. were allowed but offering of prayer (namaz) was strictly prohibited. The step-well (bawli) inside the mosque was littered with dirt and filth. This mosque is located only hundred meters away from the Mehrauli Bus terminal. In 1506, Daulat Khan built this mosque using red stone. Daulat Khan was an Emir during the reign of Sikandar Shah Lodhi. Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi said that Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind demands from the Government of India and Archeological Survey of India to prevent illegal activities inside the mosque immediately and allow offering of prayer (namaz). Since mosque is a place of worship, its sanctity should be maintained at all cost. He also said that violation of religious sanctity of the mosque cannot be condoned. He also demanded that Muslim guards should be deputed in the mosque who could protect its sanctity. The delegation consisted of Maulana Niaz Ahmed Farooqui, Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi, Maulana Ghayur Ahmad Qasmi, Maulana Haroon Rashid Qasmi, Maulana Irfan Qasmi, Haji Arif, Asad Miyan, Maulana Mohammad Yaseen Ahmad Qasmi, Maulana Kalimuddin,Hafiz Bashir and Noor Alam.

Mosque on verge of diminishing due to negligent attitude of the Archeological Survey of India (ASI).
New Delhi, Press release, June, 12, 2015:-
The very existence of a wonderful, monumental historical mosque is on the verge of diminishing due to negligent attitude of the Archeological Survey of India (ASI). It has put a ban on offering prayer (namaz) inside the mosque, but ironically, allowed illegal activities. A delegation of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind led by Maulana Niaz Ahmed Farooqui, legal adviser and Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi, Secretary, visited the mosque for assessing its condition. When delegation reached the mosque they were stunned to find that a tiny temple had been built in the mosque with flower garland in place. It was clearly a case illegal encroachment and the temple was just an excuse. They found vacant bottles of wine everywhere in the mosque. When they entered the mosque they felt smells of hemp extract. It appeared to the members of delegation that just before their arrival, some persons have enjoyed hemp extract over there. Four corners of the mosque were littered with paanand gutkha. Even people had defecated and urinated inside the precinct of mosque. It was very difficult for the members of delegation to bear stinking smell .The ASI has not deputed any guard o there to protect this historical mosque. The Wakf Board had appointed Maulana Mohammad Ilyas as the imam of this mosque, but ASI did not permit him to lead prayer there. Every kind of illegal activity can take place inside the mosque, but offering of prayer is strictly prohibited. The land of the mosque has been illegally occupied by the people living in the vicinity. It has to be noted that this mosque was built in 1497 by Sheikh Alauddin who was grandniece of celebrated Sufi Hazrat Fareed Ganj Shakar during the reign of Sultan Sikandr Shah Bin Sultan Bahlol. Hazrat Fareed Ganj Shakar was a trusted disciple of Yusuf Qattal, Qazi Jalaluddin Lahori. Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi, Secretary of JamiatUlama-i-Hind demanded from the Government of India and Archeological Survey of India to lift ban on offering of prayer in the mosque and for taking immediate action for its protection. The delegation consisted of Maulana Niaz Ahmad Farooqui, Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi, Maulana Ghayur Ahmad Qasmi, Maulana Haroon Rashid Qasmi, MaulanaIrfanQasmi, Maulana Mohammad Yaseen Qasmi and Hafiz Bashir Ahmad.

The Archeological Survey of India (ASI) Should Appoint Muslim Guard as it had Appointed at Wazirabad Mosque.
Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind appreciated deputation of Muslim Guard in the mosque as it ensured Sanctity of the mosque. It also demanded lifting of ban upon namaz (prayer) .
New Delhi, (Press Release) June16, 2015:-
An eight members delegation of JamiatUlama-i-Hind led by Maulana Niaz Ahmed Farooqui, legal adviser, and Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi visited Dargah and mosque of Ghulam Alamgir known as masjid Wazirabad for making an assessment of prevailing condition of the mosque. When delegation reached there they found that the mosque was locked from outside. The guard posted there asked about the purpose of their visit and unlocked the gate of the mosque for their entrance. He instructed them not to offer prayer in the mosque. Members of the delegation found that adequate arrangement was made here for cleaning the mosque. During the course of their visit, theyalso found that the guard was scolding a visitor for entering the mosque wearing shoes. They felt surprised because during the course of their visit to various mosques it was the first case of a guard rebuking someone for entering the mosque wearing shoes. Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi enquired the name of the guard who replied that his name was Mr. Nizam. They noted their appreciation for the upkeep of the place by the guard and said that if similar arrangements were made in other mosque their sanctity could have been maintained. The guard also told them that raising issue of this mosque in the media will serve no purpose, because Hindus regarded this mosque as a temple or a hunting ground. The guard also informed them that in 1981, some anti-social elements had reached on top of the mosque while carrying saffron flags in their hands and misbehaved with the peoples offering prayer (namaz) there. This incident was reported to the police. The police took notice and severely scolded them. On that day, the police issued an instruction to the Muslims not to offer prayer (namaz) there. And from that day onward a ban is enforced upon offering prayer in the mosque. Maulana Niaz Ahmad Farooqui and Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi said that since posting of a Muslim guard at Wazirabad mosque has ensured sanctity of the mosque, therefore Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind wishes that only Muslim guards shall be posted in all mosques administered by the ASI. It will ensure religious sanctity of all the mosques. Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind also demands lifting of ban upon offering of prayer in the mosque. The delegation consisted of Maulana Niaz Ahmed Farooqui, Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi, Maulana Ghayur Ahmad Qasmi, MaulanaHaroon Rashid Qasmi, Maulana Mohammad Yaseen Qasmi, Hafiz BashirAhmad.
Why only Permission for Juma Prayer in Safdar Jung Mosque. Why not five times prayers allowed in the same?
After Juma prayer is over, visiting tourists violate sanctity of the mosque.
Which provision of law permits Juma prayer in the mosque but prohibits offering of five times prayer in the same.

New Delhi, (Press Release) June 24, 2015:-
An eight members delegation of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind led by Maulana Niaz Ahmed Farooqui, legal adviser of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind and Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi, secretary while continuing their struggle for restoring prayers inside the closed mosques has raised strong protest against lackadaisical attitude of the ASI for allowing illegal activities inside the mosque. The delegation of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind while continuing their visit to the closed mosque today visited Safdar Jung mosque. When the delegation arrived there, they found that the mosque was locked from outside. When Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi, Secretary inquired from the guard posted there about why prayer is not offered there. The guard replied to him that this mosque is daily opened for two hours and only jumaa prayer allowed. The mosque is closed after completion of juma prayer. Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi, secretary and Maulana Niaz Ahmed Farooqui, legal adviser of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind questioned which provision of law permitted juma prayer in a mosque and barred five times prayer over there. They also said that whatever is happening in the name of protecting the mosque is highly condemnable. They also said that in the name of promoting tourism girls and boys have been allowed to carry on obscene activities inside mausoleum of Safdar Jung. Just outside the mosque a new temple is under construction but ASI remained silent spectator. They also said since juma prayer was allowed, what was wrong if five time prayers were too permitted. A mosque is constructed for offering of prayer not for locking it from outside. Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi, said that Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind demands from the ASI and the government of India to lift the ban upon offering of five times prayers and also allow Muslims to offer daily prayersin the same. The delegation consisted of Maulana Niaz Ahmed Farooqui, Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi, Maulana Ghayur Ahmad Qasmi, Maulana Haroon Rashid Qasmi, Maulana Mohammad Yaseen Qasmi and Hafiz Bashir Ahmad.

The Archeological Survey of India (ASI) enforced banned on offering of prayer (namaz) in the Masjid. No arrangement made for the cleanliness of the Masjid. The historical Masjid is on verge of destruction.

New Delhi (Press Release) June, 26, 2015:- Due to negligent attitude of ASI, the very existence of Moti Masjid located adjacent to the mausoleum of Qutbuddin Bakhtiya Kaki R.A. is on verge of extinction. The ASI has banned offering of prayers in the Masjid at the pretext of preserving the same. But condition of the Masjid is contrary to the claim made by the ASI. This Masjid remains unprotected and lacks proper attention of the ASI. An eight member's delegation of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind led by Maulana Niaz Ahmed Farooqui, legal adviser of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind and Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi, Secretary of Jamiat have been continuously visiting such closed Masajid and making sincere efforts for restoring prayers in them.

When Jamiat delegation visited mausoleum of Qutbuddin Bakhtiya Kaki R.A., they found that a beautiful and grand Masjid built by marbles over there is already on verge of extinction due to negligent attitude of ASI. This Masjid was littered with filth and dust and fading its original color. It is surprising that at one hand the government of India sanctions huge budget to the ASI for the protection and beatification of historical monuments, but on other hand this beautiful and historical Masjid is losing its beauty day by day. Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi, secretary of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind said that this Masjid is getting extinct due to enforcing ban on prayer there. He also said that only Moti Masjid but every closed Masjid will return to its pristine glory if government lift ban on offering of prayer in them. It is to be noted that this Masjid was built by Mohammad Moazzm Shah Alam Bahadur Shah (1) in 1709 A.D. Maulana Niaz Ahmad Fooqui, legal adviser of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind and Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi, secretary said that ASI is solely responsible for the worsening condition of this Masjid. They also said that the ASI should take proper action for the protection of this Masjid and lift ban on offering of prayers in them.

They also said that Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind demands from the government of India to make proper arrangement for cleanliness of the Masjid and post a Muslim guard in the same. The delegation consisted of Maulana Niaz Ahmed Farooqui, Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi, Maulana Ghayur Ahmad Qasmi, Maulana Haroon Rashid Qasmi, Maulana Mohammad Yaseen Qasmi, Hafiz Bashir Ahmad and other members of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind etc.

masjid-near-qutub-minarNew Delhi, (Press release August, 17 2015:- It has come to light while continuing the struggle for restoring prayers inside the closed mosques that non-Muslim guard deputed at the historical mosques are actively involved in carrying out illegal activities over there. Non-Muslim guards posted at the historical mosques do not care about the religious sanctity of the same. How a non-Muslim guard who is involved in immoral acts inside the mosque can prevent other persons from carrying out the same. It's a matter of great concern that religious sanctity of mosques is consistently violated by those persons who are duty bound to prevent immoral acts in the same. A delegation of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind under the leadership of Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi while visiting the mosque at Mehrauli found that this mosque too like other historical one is in very bad shape. Guard posted over there was absent from duty and some other persons were sitting over there. Members of the delegation asked these fellows that can they offer prayer over here. They emphatically replied them in negative. The delegation also found vacant bottles of wine inside the mosque that point to the fact that this place of religious worship has been converted into a bastion of wine drinkers and ruffians. Even some one has urinated near the arch from where prayer leader lead the prayer. All these illegal and immoral activities inside the very sanctum sanatorium of the mosque are a matter of deep anxiety to the Muslims. Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi while expressing his deep anguish over the violation of religious sanctity of the mosque held responsible the ASI for posting non-Muslim guard in the mosque who is unaware about religious sanctities of the mosque.
